Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!!

Kenzie turned ONE!! She is such a sweet girl and it is so weird to have a one year old!! The day was perfect...and I couldn't have done it without the help of my Mom and Mother-in-Law. They were SO helpful getting everything prepared the night before and set-up the morning of. THANK YOU!! THANK TOU!! How blessed I feel!

We had so much fun watching her interact with all of the guests, walking around the room, opening presents and just making everyone smile and laugh. It was nice having so many friends and family around to help make her day (and ours) so special!

The cupcake cake turned out great! It was an interesting task preparing it but it turned out fine. I think I could do a better job on the next one...should have done a test-run before I make it. Oh well...I'll have plenty of parties in the future to perfect it!

The party table was set, the pink room couldn't have been more girlie! We had way too much food & way too many presents...Kenzie loved them all!

Some of Kenzie's Friends...

Some of Kenzie's Family...

And of course, Kenzie LOVES cake!!!

The Thank You Card...

But all good things must come to an end...and the little one was tuckered out!!

Happy Birthday Sweetie!
We Love You So Much!!

Valentines Day 2008

This was Kenzie's first Valentines Day!! She was in a bit of a grumpy mood, but we managed to get a few happy pictures anyway...
But only if we played "chase" and suprised her around the corner...
Grandpa came by with Valentines for his "girls" and Kenzie just loved her pink flowers...and Mommy's beautiful red ones too! "Ooooh" she said! She liked to feel them and the soft petals.

We joined my parents for Valentine dinner at Chili's, and that was the excitement of Valentine's Day 2008! Low-key, relaxing family day shared with those we love...isn't that what it's all about?

My Baby's Turning ONE!!

In less than a week and a half my baby is turning ONE!! I can't believe how fast this year has gone! Every stage has been better than the last and before I know it she'll be riding away on a school bus...dating...college...married...AAHHH! Well, I'll just love the moment for what it brings and continue to thank our amazing and faithful Lord for this precious miracle He's given us.

I'm having fun with the party plans though...oh yes, there will be a party! I couldn't let her first birthday go by without a celebration with family and friends. The invitations are ready to go out (homemade of course!) I made the front to look like a magazine cover and the inside holds details of the party using pink paper and a darling polka-dot paper by sei called Such A Girl. It's so cute!! For Christmas I got a fun cake pan shaped like a giant cupcake (from my sis-she knows I love to bake) and I can't wait to make it for the party!! I don't know how I'm going to decorate it yet but a couple of ideas the pan shows look like this:
(sorry, don't know why this one is so small!!)
I think since it's so close to Valentine's Day (February 16th) I'll serve sandwiches cut into heart shapes, and other assorted snacks...many detail to still work out but I'll get it all done! Can't wait to share party photos with you!
...off for more planning!
